I went into my interpretation of Stray without reading any reviews or analyses. Turns out, the game is not what I expected at all. Haven't finished it yet, but shows that context is crucial in close analysis. Still, a fun experiment nonetheless! #digitalhumanities #animalstudies #animalfiction #cats

This is welcome and long overdue. MPs are now calling on the UK government to ban trawling and dredging in "Marine Protected Areas". It's outrageous that this wholescale destruction is permitted anywhere, let alone in these "reserves". It has to stop. committees.parliament.uk/publications...

What with @whalesorg.bsky.social #WODFest fundraiser to remove abandoned fishing gear from the ocean, I've been thinking about waste a lot lately. This book feels very appropriate. There is no throwing anything 'away,' it just goes elsewhere. We often forget about all the waste hidden in our oceans.
