I was a shutin for 5 years, from when I was 18 til I was 23. I was always terrified of going out. Of everything that might happen. I was always worried and scared that the worst would come to pass. I never thought about the good that could happen, the wonderful people I could meet.

Getting out of my shell and hanging out with people irl has helped me so much. It genuinely shifts your perspective on things. I love my friends. My life has changed drastically for the better because of them even in the midst of getting blocked by a close online friend for no reason.
