I’ve seen a few mid to lead level narrative roles starting to open up for various places in the UK which is great to see.
Also, it hopefully means that studio heads and execs have realised you kinda need human designers to craft interactive stories that resonate with your human players.

Doing a board game design course in the evenings and someone on the call tonight mentioned their “lifetime project” 😬

The major thing Valve need to fix in SteamOS is the store experience. It is borderline unusable on the Steam Deck and I've always found it odd that it doesn't seem to be a priority for them.

Re: the Metroid discourse. From my POV someone got very scared at play testing results and requested they crank up the hint dialogue.
Hopefully it is a setting players can adjust but man I feel bad for Retro. First Prime game in almost a decade and all people are talking about is people talking.

After a long evening of prototyping, the first pass of the rules for my card game are done!
I’ve called it Conquest and as the name suggests it’s about conquering stuff. The rules are currently under 1000 words too which ain’t to shabby!

I think I came up with a fun card game using a standard deck of cards this morning. Need to do some digging to see if I’m not accidentally ripping another idea off first 😅
