Happy Sunday everybody. I present a guppy giving birth. She was popping these babies in the mixed (mutt) guppy tank
Yes that is correct, I am late to this important meeting because I was playing fetch with my cat

@wxliz.bsky.social just sharing how our our local meteorologist treated this event ahead of time I think there is misunderstanding or otherwise laziness on their part communicating the risk this way. I believe post is still up. We had life threatening tornadoes

UPDATE: ICE is wildly unconcerned about where this man is and no one will tell me, his registered attorney. The universal answer so far is "let's wait and see where he ends up." This is deeply off.

We would have more rights at this point if UPS had lost a pair of shoes I'd just bought from Zappos
My detained client was scheduled for a bond hearing this AM in a MA immigration court. He wasn't brought in, and he and his case have disappeared.

I then received this notice of activity on a nonexistent docket in which his name was changed to "N/A"

It's all happening a lot faster than I expected

Reminder: Tariffs aren't paid by other countries.

They're eventually paid by us at the check out line.

And they're regressive — taking a higher percentage out of the paychecks of working people than out of the wealthy.

I think we’re going through a crash course of elasticity of demand. Raise prices for consumers but corporations get no extra profit even while jacking up selling price. Demand for elastic consumed products will crash

Heard Island and McDonald Islands have seen a dramatic warming since 1940. The penguins there have enough to deal with even without the 10% tariffs just imposed on them.

Automating tasks yeah all for that but automating individual creativity or advice? We’re taking away what is human and what creates community. This feels icky. I think I’m talking genAI

Update: All NOAA Research websites will now remain online w/ no interruptions in service, according to a statement from the agency. The reason for the reversal isn't clear, nor is the status of the contract supporting those sites.
