Never take seriously those who ridicule low income people for having a smartphone or laptop.

“If they’re so poor how did they buy an iPhone???”

Because they’re trying to escape poverty, not the 1700s, genius. If you think basic tech access is unnecessary or a luxury, survive a month without it.

I’m about to board my flight to El Salvador, where I hope to meet with senior government officials to discuss the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

I also hope to see Kilmar and check on his condition — and remind him that we won’t stop fighting until he’s home.

The Empress of Salt and Fortune: 4.25/5 stars 🐇🧂🔮🎱🌙💫
In this short yet powerful novella, a cleric visits the site of the last Empress’s place of exile to uncover long-hidden secrets of the monarchy. This novella works so well, I will definitely read book 2!

Deep End by Ali Hazelwood: 5/5 stars ⭐️

This book was SO much fun and the first read in a long time I’ve been fully enthralled with; I’m talking staying up late, thinking about it at work, reading every free moment I can enthralled. I’m excited for more Ali Hazelwood books like this one ;) #booksky

Proud to say I have FINALLY, after two years, canceled my Amazon Kindle Unlimited membership. I needed the push of the #amazonboycott. Now, I can finally say I am completely Amazon free!

I wrote down the names of authors I like from KU, and going forward I’ll buy ebooks directly from the authors.

Reminder that we DO NOT post spoilers for Oathbound OK?

The book’s plot does not exist on here. Try not to even say a character’s name plus any kind of reaction. THE BOOK WILL BEGIN AND IT WILL END. Thazzit.

The Message by Ta-Nehisi Coates: 5/5 stars ⭐️
As Coates travels to three conflict regions through the world - Senegal, South Carolina, and Palestine - he reflects on
"how our stories - our reporting and imaginative narratives and mythmaking - expose and distort our realities."

me 🤝 collecting library cards like infinity stones
My tips:
- apply for a library card where you work!
- If you're in college/university, apply for a library card in your college/university town
- Research libraries that allow you to join without a library card there! Ex: "Queer Collective Library"

Did I cry over a webtoon about dragons who grow tea leaves? Yes, yes I did. 🐉☕️🫖🍃💞🧚‍♀️

“The Tea Dragon Society” by Kay O’Neill is an adorable and impactful story about found family, queer love, and finding oneself. 5/5 stars and will definitely be reading book 2!

Stick with me here.

Where the Crawdads Sing. NOT because it’s particularly good, but because of the controversy the author was involved in that is so on-point with the book. I can just imagine future lit teachers giving students this article after they finish the book. time.com/6196505/wher...
