Jesus Christ, @kaine.senate.gov, getting a pinky promise to hold one single vote on ACA funding is not "a path toward fixing the health care mess" anymore than a lottery ticket is a "path toward fixing my personal finances"

So, listen, call Schumer’s office no matter where you live, no matter if you’re registered to vote. Leave a voicemail that says if Senate Dems cave without an ACA premiums fix, you will never vote for or donate to another Senate Democrat as long as he is Leader

This initiates the Snow Campaign, an attempt to stifle loyalist activity in the SC backcountry. It generally worked for a while, but the loyalists didn't stay stifled.
Also, the politics of trade and alliance with the Cherokee are tied up in this. That's going to boil over in a bit, too.

I think a lot about the story Carl Reiner told: he’d have been a sewing machine repairman if not for a free WPA drama class. That led to other theater work, to Sid Caesar, to Mel Brooks, and all the rest. All because of one free class paid for by a government that felt the arts were worth teaching.
you ever think about the works progress administration? I sure do. I wish that was a thing now. I would be so glad to contribute my labor to like. A random ass local bridge

Wait... this fine actor is the son of Timothy West and I'm just now learning this??? Where would my after-dinner television watching be without this family?
TIL that the wonderfully oleaginous Peter Judd on Slow Horses is played by the son of Prunella Scales and Timothy West. I had no idea when watching him that I grew up watching his mom.
