John Cena has always been a "yes sir, no sir" corporate company boy. That is why he was so viciously hated for so long.
He was never anything other than what people saw in the CVV interview, he and WWE were just able to rehab his image from 2015 and beyond largely thanks go nostalgia.

#AEWCollision was awesome tonight. Bandido/Mascara was everything it was hyped up to be, the opening tag match was chaotic in all the best ways, and Mone/Olympia really showed off the CMLL star.
