i just read something about grief from C.S. Lewis and his book, “A Grief Observed”
basically, when someone you love dies, it isn’t just them that you miss, but the parts of yourself that person brought out of you that can never be brought out again.

Just watched remake of The Running Man and absolutely incredible and fantastic action film in all departments. The best parts reminded me of #AEW both Blood and Guts from this week in the emotion, spots, violence, little tiny details of world building and characterisation. Bloody fantastic art.

I sympathise with the frustration at a certain flavour of TTRPG fans claiming it's elitist to learn the rules of the game you're playing, but I have to laugh at analogies like "you wouldn't say it's elitist to watch a TV show you claim to be a fan of"; people in TV show fandoms 100% do say that.
