It's brutal how often I hear, in the hospital, "COVID is here to stay" from leadership as an excuse not to do anything better about it. People don't say "STIs are here to stay" "cancer is here to stay" "heart disease is here to stay" "concussions are here to stay" etc.

on day 9 of my first (confirmed) bout of covid. people who say this is like a flu are very much wrong.
i have fibromyalgia already, so im not new to fatigue, but this illness gave it a whole new meaning. im just starting to KIND OF feel some semblance of normalcy, and i have it relatively “mild”

Demand clean air benchmarks and mandatory masking in hospitals. Provide free respirators at the door. If you’re a healthcare worker - put on a mask. Don’t wait for a mandate to do the right thing.
