Dusty May, a former student manager at Indiana, is going back to Bloomington at an awkward time, with Mike Woodson’s future all but decided. How a coach from the Bob Knight School of Hard Knocks became an expert on new-school thinking:

The reason why Dan Campbell's football team is who it is today is because he refuses to let it forget what it was four years ago. When they played like Northern Savages but without any talent.

Detroit has the talent now.

Will be interesting to see how long Mikey Keene can hold off Bryce Underwood. Keene raises the floor Michigan’s offense, but if Underwood is close to being ready, gotta think he’ll be playing.

Ohio State finally did what it should have been doing the whole game: going fast, putting pressure on Michigan’s corners. The result was a TD drive that ties the game at 10.

A few pregame thoughts from the Shoe:

— No Colston Loveland is a tough break. He’s been the only reliable part of the passing game.
— Michigan needs its DL to control the game. OSU will run the ball if it can.
— Is Jyaire Hill out of the doghouse? Cuz Michigan’s corners will be tested.

Michigan 17, Northwestern 6 at half.

A few thoughts:

Michigan needs to scrap the deep/intermediate passing game next week. Screens, quick passing game — that’s what Davis Warren does best. Running game hasn’t been there lately, which is worrisome. Michigan has 14 yards on the ground.
