problem is people do not want to deal with it because it is a lot to unpack, is tied to trauma and they do not see the harm in it. To them it is not an act done out of rejection or distain but it is a ritual that they do not remember the origins of.
Plus simple answers wins over nuance all day.

I really do not understand why we can’t be nuanced and admit that some Black people genuinely were rejected for being weird and that “weird” was often equivalent to “white.” 😵💫

At some point we will have to accept that many Black artist/actors will not only have to be asked to sit and shut up but be held accountable with the racist. When it comes time to, do not try to give them a pass.
