My mommy was in bed reading a John Grisham book for the first time in years, and it reminded me of 2005, when I’d casually pass by her room and she’d be reading. I’m glad she got back to it. The reader in her fostered the reader in me as a kid.

I’m at the makeshift command center at Utah Valley University, where dozens of officers from several different agencies including FBI, Utah DPS and local police are milling about, presumably waiting for leads/action/orders.
