Playing our last show of the year this Friday with OLY/PDX early aughts art punkers The Intima and the debut of the @see-saw.fun -approved Liquid Cross. Once again at the wonderful Moon Rock Records in Eugene.

Very kind review from the latest Razorcake. We definitely don't think of ourselves as street punk or oi (as MRR called us), but I'm confident nobody will apply those particular labels when they hear the stuff we're in the midst of recording right now.

Some more footage from our show at Moon Rock Records in August. It's been a year since 2 of the 3 of us have been playing together, and this one was the first fully formed song we worked on. I'm still proud of the lyrics, but it's time to make room for new music. youtu.be/darn61BPabQ?...

Came to our practice space to record guitars for our next release, and there’s a dude in the room next door clearly recording vocals for a very earnest cover Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins. I’m about to bum him TF out.

Our drummer thinks our new song sounds like early Peni, but I honestly thought I was writing a Hot Snakes rip off. It’s legit fun how two people in a band can hear their own music so differently. When I go and sing it like Bob Pollard it’ll probably throw us into an identity crisis

This man will not be fired for calling for the murder of American citizens, yet multiple journalists/reporters/teachers lost their job for accurately reporting things Charlie Kirk actually said and stood for.

But it’s the “violent left” that’s the problem

We made a promo video with footage from our show in Corvallis, poorly synched with our studio recording. Probably the last time we’ll mention this release, as we’ve started recording our next one. But yeah, find it on any streaming service not named Spotify or Amazon.

Oh hey, I doubt anyone following us lives in the Eugene area, but we’re playing a fun, free punk festival tomorrow (Saturday) at 3:45.

I feel like people aren't listening to enough music that recognizes their interior rage. Take my hand—listen to the latest monthly playlist from see/saw. I also blog about the inherent tumult of this time of year!!!!

I’d probably like my band less after listening to me drone on about vinyl, the importance of good record stores, and my own band, but there’s some good footage of Happy Death Men, Old City, and us, so you can maybe just skip to those chapters.
My friends made a video about my favorite record store, the show I put on there, and the bands that played. I say a lot of words in it.

Somebody I don't know paid us $15 for two songs on Bandcamp. Not for a tape. Just the digital songs. Should I contact them to see if they were trying to order a tape? Otherwise I'm just really confused.

Are there bands you know of who adequately cover multiple genres on the same release? King Gizz genre hop, but not on the same album. Older bands like Big Boys, and maybe New Model Army, have done it well. I think we’re gonna be that kind of band. Not sure how it will land.

Also, I know this sounds like a humble brag, but it felt so good to get such kind, thoughtful, and specific feedback about our set on Saturday, especially from the bands we brought in from out of town and who really knew nothing about us. It's just a nice feeling when people connect with your art.

My charitable read is that you’re unfamiliar with Songs: Ohia, but you’re more likely just very sensitive fans of that artist.
If Cleveland doesn’t already have a head shop called Bongs: Ohio, they need to correct that.
