Shame on every Democratic senator who sold out Democrats who worked so hard to fight fascism and win last Tuesday.

When the old guard dies out and those who have been kept corralled to stop progress finally break free ...
Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?

Thanks for this 👇information @altnps.bsky.social I was wondering ...
Once the government reopens, precedent has already been set, if Speaker Mike Johnson refuses to swear in Adelita Grijalva, the newly elected representative from Arizona’s 7th District, someone else will. In Powell v. McCormack (1969), the

I have been sick of them for at least the last decade.

Bring on the Progressives. Boot out the establishment.

I am so sick of them.

A concept of a deal ...
Nailed it @thebossross.bsky.social
I just don't get it. Am I understanding this right? A group of Democrats voted with the Republicans to end the shutdown based on the *promise* of a *future* *vote* to continue healthcare subsidies for a *limited* time? That's not a deal. That's the concept of a deal. At best.

THIS👇
Schumer voted No, however he couldn’t manage to keep these other 10 together with the Democratic caucus, & that shows him to be an ineffectual Minority Leader. As much as some people disliked Nancy Pelosi, this kind of thing never would have happened under her leadership, had she been a senator.

[sigh]

In America, healthcare is a pie-in-the-sky dream for most
Dems have spent the past two months saying they're fighting to address the crisis of spiking healthcare costs and now they're caving for a deal that does nothing to address healthcare costs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
November 10, 2025 at 5:23 PM
If you think the people throwing Great Gatsby-esque parties for themselves, while millions were denied their food assistance, are all of a sudden going to grow a conscience and save affordable healthcare, you clearly have not been paying attention.

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

Thank you @atrupar.com
For this 👇👇👇
Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

🙌 @mikiesherrill.bsky.social

Way past time to replace @schumer.senate.gov
with someone who can AND WILL lead the fight
This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

yea the problem with poverty and food scarcity is that once people experience extended food scarcity that shit is carved in there forever. this was a major observable thing after the great leap forward and its resulting famine

Rosen: And on Halloween weekend, in the middle of a shutdown where they’re defunding SNAP, where children will go hungry—millions of them—they are gluttonously eating and partying and laughing at their voters, laughing at what they can do to screw the American people.

Same for our family👇
My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Democrats can't defeat Trump-MAGA authoritarianism without an agenda that stands squarely on the side of working people.

We need a pro-worker, pro-democracy, anti-establishment movement that will take on oligarchy like never before.

It starts with the party rejecting Big Money.
