My anger about the situation in that last repost is summed up in this thread. Why do we keep falling into the trap of using children, even our own, as props for our egos and the ridiculous axes we grind with our perceptions of the society we've built for ourselves with bricks made of poison?
The horror thinking about this induces in me becomes unbearable in certain moments. The fact that our parents have fixed ideas of who we are that don't even come close to the reality, and that they'd continue to deny that reality even after we've been brutally murdered because of it is terrifying
Most of us have pathologically useless parents who don't care to learn about protecting us properly, but this dogshit really takes the cake.
