Can anybody explain why they have GM meetings and winter meetings that are largely about…GMs meeting? I get that the winter meetings also have agents and the players they rep, but why is it worth it to GMs to have their own separate meetings?

I can’t be close the first person to notice this, but isn’t the simplest solution for Raffy’s struggles (particularly against the fastball) is that…he’s just lost bat speed? I’d be pretty concerned about that if I was the Red Sox?
