Since the spring, federal agents have been patrolling government buildings in New York City, waiting to arrest migrants as soon as they step out of a courtroom, regardless of the status of their case.
It's cool having those friends for specific topics. I've got the one I talk to about food, the one I talk to about sex, and the one who just sends me pics of cool mushrooms and rocks she finds. Adulthood is cool sometimes.

Also, in the case in which this guy cooperated, I got a conviction against a dude for material support of a designated terrorist group, and then America decided, for purely political reasons, that they weren’t a terrorist group, in case you want to guess my mood about American politics right now.
Got a call from the wife of a cooperating witness in a case I prosecuted in the 90s. I’ve written a letter for him on occasion because he was a stand up guy who did a good job under duress. ICE just picked him up. He’s been in the country like 35 years.
