If AI succeeds, we need universal basic income, and if AI fails, we need universal basic income. Also, we should have implemented UBI decades ago when working class incomes first decoupled from productivity growth.
So if AI succeeds loads of people lose their jobs as they're replaced by AI, and if AI fails, loads of people lose their jobs as the economy crashes?

that UBI lifts people out of poverty and in most cases allows them to thrive has been proven and written about time over time. however if you keep electing politicians that think poor people should die we won't get anywhere with this.

We’re glad to see #methane mentioned in the #federalbudget —but actions speak louder than words. Canada needs clear targets and timelines to drive these emissions down and give our kids a chance at a livable future. Cut it now - for our kids, our air, our future.

Rest in peace, Diane Keaton 🕊️ Diane’s brilliance on screen was matched by her daily compassion for animals. She spoke up for overlooked animals, supported the Big Cat Public Safety Act, and lived a meat-free life rooted in kindness. She’ll be deeply missed by animal advocates everywhere.
