The 2026 World Cup is going to break every ad revenue record in history. 🌎 With matches across the US, Canada, and Mexico, we are looking at a "Super Bowl" level event every single day for a month. The smart brands are already locking in their "clean zone" experiential activations. June is coming!

To the Class of 2026: Stop stressing about the specific job title. Just get inside the building. 🏢 I started in Performance Media, but being at a holdco like Publicis means I can shadow the Strategy team whenever I want. Your first job isn't your final destination; it's your entry pass...

MSU Basketball is testing my heart health this season. 🏀 The volatility is the problem. Great teams have a high floor; right now, our floor is too low. From an analyst perspective, we are relying too much on individual brilliance and not enough on system execution. Izzo has a month to fix the flow.

Networking Challenge for the Class of 2026: ☕ Reach out to two professionals this week. Just two. Ask for 15 minutes to hear their story. These small touchpoints now are what get your resume moved forward later. The hidden job market runs on "I know someone who would be great for this."

Reading up on NBCU’s Legendary February strategy. 🥇 It is wild to think one network controls the narrative for the Super Bowl AND the Olympics simultaneously. It shows that in a fragmented media landscape, live sports remain the only true aggregator of mass audiences. What a time to be in media!

The Anthropic vs. ChatGPT ad war is fascinating. Anthropic is positioning itself as the premium, ad-free privacy option. But by integrating ads, ChatGPT is democratizing access to the most powerful tools on earth. In the history of tech, the accessible play usually beats the closed luxury garden.

The UFC's integration into Paramount+ is the most interesting media case study of Q1. 📊 They didn't just move content; they integrated ecosystems. The cross-promotion during the NFL playoffs was seamless. I expect 2026 to be the year the UFC transitions from "niche sport" to global media property.

The Super Bowl ads this year were a mixed bag. 🍿 Rocket Mortgage continues to set the standard for being culturally in touch. On the flip side, Anthropic's spot felt disconnected—spending 25 seconds reinforcing AI fear to sell a "safe" chatbot feels like a strategic misfire. What did you think?

I’m calling it: 2026 is the year of the Agentic Workflow. Tasks like budget pacing and SQRs are perfect for AI agents because they are rules-based. Agencies that automate this will free up their strategists to actually strategize. If you are doing manual pacing in Dec 2026, you're doing it wrong.

To the Class of 2026: The clock just started ticking. ⏰ February is when the smart candidates start filling the pipeline. If you wait until after Spring Break, you are competing with the procrastinators. Get your "No's" out of the way now so you can find your "Yes" early. 3-step attack plan below!

Super Bowl week is here. 🏆 As marketers, we critique these spots like film scholars, but I'm curious what the actual consumers think. Which brand do you think is going to actually move product this year? My money is on whoever makes the audience feel smart rather than just entertained. #SuperBowl60

The reported numbers for ChatGPT's ad beta are wild: $200k min spend, $60 CPM. For context, that is significantly higher than Meta or Google. It signals that Search isn't just about keywords anymore; it's about context. Check out the infographic below for more!

Friday’s MSU/Michigan game was a heartbreak, but let's analyze it. 📉 We dug a hole, climbed out of it, and then ran out of gas. It’s a classic resource management lesson. You can't spend 100% of your energy just getting back to baseline and expect to have enough left to close. We need better starts.

Another incredible night with the AdVance cohort, this time at MVP Collaborative. The sheer scale of their facility (studio, auditorium, etc.) really drives home the importance of experiential marketing. In a digital world, the agencies that can build physical experiences are going to win big.

I'm reading a lot about "Agentic Commerce" this week. The idea that by 2030, a huge chunk of purchases will be made by AI agents, not humans. This fundamentally changes branding. We spend billions trying to influence human emotion, but how do you influence an algorithm that just wants the best specs

Reflecting on an awesome first couple of weeks with the AdVance program. We toured the Vibe Credit Union HQ and the Ally Detroit Center. The contrast between the modern fintech vibe and the historic Detroit architecture at Ally was cool to see. Detroit's ad community is unrivaled

Unpopular opinion: The job hunt is a data project. 📉 If you aren't tracking your applications in a spreadsheet, you are flying blind. You need to know your Apply-to-Interview ratio. Once you know that number, the rejection emails don't hurt as much—they just become data points on the way to a Yes

The 2026 Winter Olympics ad inventory is 100% sold out. 🥇 It’s impressive to see how NBCU packaged this with the Super Bowl for Legendary February. For all the talk of TV dying, brands just dropped billions to be on linear TV next month. The scarcity principle is still alive and well in media buying

Have you seen the new "Streaming Ads" on TikTok? It allows users to subscribe to streaming services (Disney+, etc.) directly through the ad interface. This is a massive shift. TikTok is essentially becoming the new "Cable Bundle" sales floor. Performance media just got a new heavy hitter.

It is officially Application Season. My advice to seniors: Stop trying to write the perfect cover letter for one job and start applying to ten. The post-grad job market is a numbers game. You need volume to find the opportunity. Apply, track, repeat. Strategy comes from the data you gather.

Amazon is crushing the Fallout Season 2 marketing. That countdown timer on the website is driving fans crazy (in a good way). By hinting at a game remaster during the show's finale window, they are keeping the IP relevant across two different mediums simultaneously. Brilliant ecosystem play.

We are seeing the first wave of Super Bowl teasers (Pringles, Budweiser). It’s exciting, but I keep thinking back to Rocket’s "Country Roads" spot last year. That was the gold standard of "Participatory Advertising." It united the audience rather than just talking at them. High bar to clear for 2026

I'm testing the new "Personal Intelligence" beta in Gemini. It connects to your Google ecosystem (Drive, Gmail, etc.). The implication for agency workflows is massive. Being able to query your own data ("What was the budget in that Q3 email?") changes the speed of information retrieval entirely. #AI

It is officially "Application Season" for my graduating seniors. 🎓 My advice: Do not wait until May. The most aggressive candidates are networking now. If you want to land that agency role, you need to be top-of-mind before the deluge of resumes hits in March. Start connecting today. #JobSearch
