Looking back on 2025, I started the Pembrokeshire Collection to model engines from my home county in miniature! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🚂 So far I’ve done the Hook Colliery Avonside and Rosyth No.1. I can't wait to model more local engines in the new year!

Recently picked up this cool little Hornby top link loco at a model shop, the B17/4 Liverpool. It’s a great looker and is an amazing runner for its age. I really enjoy this loco!

Made a start on building my #OOn3 / #OO12 layout, set on the fictional island of Crannog. The diorama will be named "Crannog" with the depicted location having the working title of "Saint's Tide".

My Winter Car is Out Today & I'm Not Playing It and Neither Should You

Some of the imagery and speech audio in the in-game TV programs are AI generated. Some of the in-game radio music is AI generated. as someone who's found a lot of fun diving into the files and textures and radio tracks (of My Summer Car) & studying them closely for the sake of delicately modifying them by hand, i find it not just Upsetting but Insulting that toplessgun has decided it's not worth it to put his own effort into the character of his game. you don't have to accept the "future" of genAI in videogames, and i think it's especially important to push back against that in a "homemade" genre like indie games, where devs with no money may feel enticed to use the "make it for me" button. i play indies for the passion and the love and the human nature devs put into their work, not because i want more chores-slop on ice. i will not be purchasing or playing My Winter Car and i'd encourage you not to as well.

I 3D printed the S20 Foresight class SLYM No.11513 locomotive from #TrainMisconductor!

I designed it in #Blender (which is not the ideal tool for CAD) and printed it with a Bambu A1.
Blender model of a steam tank engine with 12 small wheels in a mallet articulated configuration, extended front running boards protected by a wall, a saddle tank on a smallish boiler, and a coal hopper on top of the saddle tank. The locomotive has a vaguely modern industrial appearance. The model from before, but 3D printed with a black boiler, wheels, frames, and running boards, and yellow cylinders, cab, saddle tank, and cab. It is at O scale, S gauge, about 6 inches long, and has visible specular anisotropy from print lines. Edward's model in its current state. Currently undergoing checks to see what needs replacing or upgrading. New gearbox, motor, pick-ups and pony wheels are among some of the items required.
But first things first. Get the new gearbox and motor ordered.

Chassis is mounted, pickups are made, running about as smooth as I’ll get it

A comparison to my other 8100 with a similar getup, I think the printed mounts really improved my initial test as the new one’s chassis sits slightly further back, which looks so much nicer
