Kilmar Abrego Garcia is still disappeared.
It pains me to think the New York Times may have truly jumped the shark. They’ve moved from sanewashing Trump to straight-up helping him with his racist, authoritarian agenda with headlines like this.

Thank god these kids survived. All I can think about is Tamir Rice and how he never would have had this chance.

Should have been over 6 months ago, but this is still a big victory for democracy.
It’s over.

Jefferson Griffin told the Associated Press on Wednesday that he would end his effort to overturn his election loss by throwing out thousands of valid votes. Here's what you need to know. Keep reading 🧵

The office overseeing the enforcement of child support payments nationally has been hollowed out.
The Trump Administration’s War on Children
The administration is quietly putting America’s children at risk by cutting funds and manpower for investigating child abuse, enforcing child support payments, providing child care and much more.

If someone will lie about who won the 2020 election, why wouldn't they lie about other important things? Why would we take anything they say at face value?
If you're a reporter in a White House press briefing as the spokesperson for the government asserts flatly that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a member of the MS-13 gang who's guilty of human trafficking and you sit there silently without shouting out "PROVE IT!" I'd like to invite you to go fuck yourself.

While the entire world sees the stock market crash, Fox News doesn’t cover it and instead posts an insane tabloid headline & graphic—which links to a story w a totally different headline, which buries within it what I guess is the source of the initial headline: some random bullshit Trump tweeted.

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN.

☎️: (202) 224-3121

Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid.

The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING.

Call retiring Senators too!

I’m the one always begging people to vote for Dems bc we at least have a chance to organize under them. But with Schumer folding, I might be done. If you can’t stand up for us against Trump/MAGA/Republicans in this moment, WHAT’S THE POINT?
@schumer.senate.gov @aoc.bsky.social @democrats.org
I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Schumer tells me Republicans might try to jam Democrats again in September, but thinks Trump will be less popular then and Republican appropriators might be more willing to stand up to him. He said they refused to do so now.

I would support this! We need to primary the dinosaurs.
AOC should announce a primary against Schumer tonight.

Why have we just given up calling out Fox News as the primary cause here, instead of acting like it’s some unfathomable mystery?
The ability to control mass party opinion this directly is unlike anything I’ve really seen in my time covering politics.

If it’s not an agency, then its tens of millions of dollars in funding weren’t legally allocated and should be returned, some contend.
