This week the UN Committee on Economic, Social & Cultural Rights will be reviewing the UK to assess how well our everyday rights are protected here at home.

This review takes place every 5-7 years and is significant opportunity to shine a spotlight on our broken system.

Latest research from Oct finds around 7 million low-income households are still going without essentials. 📢

This number has barely moved for three years.

5.4 million low-income households said they were unable to afford enough food in the past 30 days.
