A new platform calls for an introduction!

We are a Welsh charity promoting Equality & Social Justice in Housing.

Too many people in Wales don’t have somewhere to live in peace and dignity.
Too many people face systemic disadvantage in accessing suitable homes.
We are determined to change that.
We share the concerns of @welshrefcouncil.bsky.social, and are troubled about the potential impact these changes could have on homelessness for people seeking sanctuary in Wales.

Our commitment in Wales is to deliver a Nation of Sanctuary, these proposals are difficult to reconcile with this aim.
When someone is recognised as a refugee but only offered a short-term status, what follows isn’t safety: it’s limbo.

Read our full statement to hear why the UK Government's proposals will lead to insecurity without solving any of the real issues ⬇️

Our response to the proposed asylum reforms - Welsh Refugee Council
In Wales, our Nation of Sanctuary vision starts from a simple truth: people begin rebuilding their lives the moment they feel safe.
