When you become disabled there’s a few things you notice right away:
Ableism is everywhere.
People will abandon you. Even those you were certain would stick by you.
Just because something is illegal or against human rights code doesn’t mean it’s not happening ALL the time

Start keeping a spreadsheet of alt text for all the artwork and frequently used assets associated with your stuff. It will make your life so much easier when it comes time to do accessibility passes in books, websites, or when you need alt text for social media
