Sometimes when I see people complaining about indie game publishers being shit to devs I remember when a VERY major beloved indie publisher directly reached out to me personally about Frogsong, then after a month rejected me and asked if I'd considered hiring an animator or environment artist

Running into a really weird problem where the space rover horror game I'm working on has TERRIBLE performance on Steam Deck. This is NOT a game that should be using up 90% of ANY GPU made in the last like 20 years??? And literally nothing I do seems to improve performance???????

Idk if this is necessarily hard canon, but in Stomp the Dreamlight (the god who created the world) uses it/its pronouns, and I kinda like the idea that maybe the Duskman used to too and it was just the default state of gods, but after being around mortals he was like "this gender thing's neat"

One thing I find myself really compelled by in games, and it seems to be mainly present in 3D games, is like... places where you don't ever have any reason to go to. But they're there. And there's stuff there. Not gameplay stuff, nothing useful, just... Decor and stuff. More world.
