As the economic news keeps coming out over the coming weeks keep one thing in mind: this is the fault of one man and didn’t need to happen.

Kudos to the school administrator who wrote this letter for making it clear to families what happened and who they should blame. This is the way to build a coalition--with a shared adversary and a reason to fight.

President Trump posted on Saturday that a president "who saves his Country does not violate any Law,” as he tests legal and constitutional boundaries in the process of upending the federal government. It's not the first time he has suggested he has divine backing to enforce his will.
Trump Suggests No Laws Are Broken if He’s ‘Saving His Country’
President Trump shared a quotation on social media, making it clear it was one he wanted people to absorb: “He who saves his Country does not violate any Law.”

Wow
A new law signed by Gov. Spencer Cox of Utah prohibits unions from negotiating wages and other terms for teachers, firefighters, police officers and all other public employees, joining just two other states that have banned collective bargaining in the public sector.

The termination of 850 Indian Health Service physicians, nurses, and dentists will have a grave impact on access to care for millions of Native Americans.

The SAVE Act would make it harder for millions of Americans to cast a ballot, this includes women who changed their name after marriage.

We must spread the word to protect our democracy.

Yeah… where do people think red states get their funding…?
Trump's promise to dismantle the Education Department will likely be more costly for red states than blue.

Trump states, on average, use more federal funding in their education apportions than states that voted for Vice President Harris. www.axios.com/2025/02/05/t...

A Missouri Republican has introduced the Life Begins At Conception Act to the House. The Bill, which currently has 70 cosponsors, argues that a fetus is a person under the 14th Amendment & would federally ban abortion.

We desperately, urgently need a media that isn’t afraid to name this as the evisceration of the federal government. That is what is going on. We cannot only be comfortable using such language when the situation is far away in time or space. It’s happening here. We need to be clear.

We’ve never been a “merit-based” society… that’s why DEI exists.
President Trump has promised a “colorblind and merit-based” society, while also aligning himself with those who are brandishing the term DEI as a catchall for discrimination against white people, and using it as a pejorative to attack nonwhite and female leaders as unqualified for their positions.

Trump’s tariffs are driving up prices for us, while driving down demand for U.S. exports in Canada and Mexico.

This why you don’t trust your country’s economic policies to someone who bankrupted 5 casinos.
