The whole blurb thing is interesting. As an author I was so delighted when people I admired read my book and said lovely things about it, and I love shouting about other people’s books. However, as a reader an author blurb has never propelled me to buy a book 🤷🏻♀️

The whole blurb thing is interesting. As an author I was so delighted when people I admired read my book and said lovely things about it, and I love shouting about other people’s books. However, as a reader an author blurb has never propelled me to buy a book 🤷🏻♀️
Working in on line edits for Martin and Stern three now (which I HATE) and Odie has refused to trade jobs - you’d think one day of me napping while he edits would be okay but NO 🤷🏻♀️

Always in awe of the people who save up their Waterstones points and go on an epic book shopping spree at the end of the year/on their birthday but I will always be a person who redeems them at the earliest possible moment 😂

Over Christmas I took my emails off my phone and since then I haven’t put them back on and I’m loving it - I only look at my emails now when I actually have time to and don’t compulsively check them throughout the day 🤷🏻♀️
If only I could go back in time and tell querying Anna this was the way to go 🤦🏻♀️😂
