Optimist with a slight northern side and soft spot for Wales, parkrun and cats. Often found in an independent bookshop.
I’m wondering if there’s been a run on Cook Food in Tunbridge Wells? The lack of washing and chopping and washing up is incredibly appealing right now.

This is a very good write up of the water situation in Tunbridge Wells.
Tunbridge Wells has endured nearly a week of water failures, broken deadlines and a boil notice that will stretch well beyond the return of supply, exposing long-flagged weaknesses in South East Water’s network and a collapse of trust across the town.

The quote in this article is a good summing up of the way South East Water is failing to communicate with Tunbridge Wells. It’s incredibly frustrating to be so misled.

Eagerly waiting to be reconnected to the water in the next half an hour. It’s not happening, is it? The residents of our town should be renamed as Disgusting of Tunbridge Wells after so long without a shower.

We're planning an exhibition to mark the centenary of The Women's Library next year. We'd like to feature collections and research that people are working on currently. Please get in touch and let us know.

Popped into the first birthday of the local independent bookshop for one drink, stayed for the night. Tunbridge Wells we are lucky to have such lovely people in our town. And yes these are terrible photos.

This was a lot of fun to work on. Also, their Welsh Red is a lot of fun to drink.
Thanks to everyone who came along to the opening of Mad Dog Brewery Co's newest tap room in Tunbridge Wells last night - it was a pleasure to work on a local project.

As a big fan of beer, managing the guest list and media relations was the perfect job for Erica! 🍻

It takes an obscene amount of hubris to lecture the BBC when you have The Telegraph’s record on truth-telling.

Some of the paper’s errors this year are so bad they’re almost laughable 👇🏻

I’m sure I have some Oxford followers on here? Can anyone recommend a dedicated vegetarian or vegan restaurant in the city centre? Thanks.

Today is manic Tesco Christmas delivery slots day. I decided I couldn’t be bothered to go through the stress.
Logged in now out of curiosity, no queue and I found a good selection of slots still available on all days except 23 December.

Did anyone else get distracted by the en dash, em dash use on Amol Rajan’s desk this evening? Or is it just me who’s easily distracted? #UniversityChallenge

Pomegranate, orange and baby spinach salad to accompany a fish finger sandwich. Because I’m classy*

*and definitely not because half a bag of spinach, one orange and a random pomegranate were the only fresh fruit or veg in the house.

Have I mentioned how much I love the writing of Kim Stanley Robinson?
I learn so much as I read his books, which are also unputdownable *and* contain an interesting scattering of words that have me reaching for the dictionary.

Not a fan of Rankle, but today I guided The Boy to a 100% correct first time result so I feel this achievement needs to be shared.
(I have to clarify he’s apparently achieved this before.)

Anyone?
Does anyone use solid shampoo and/or conditioner?

I’ve been trying them out and would appreciate more recommendations.

(So far Grom or Hair Blocks are winning, but I’m not 100% won round yet.)
