Free 5km walk, jog, run 9am every Saturday in Dunorlan Park, Tunbridge Wells. All ages & abilities. Register first at http://parkrun.org.uk and don't forget your barcode
We’ve almost made it to the last Saturday of January. However for us to enable the month to end we need you!
We’re short of an extra pair of hands to help clear cones and signs on the course after parkrun, and we’re short of marshals during parkrun.

We told you there'd be sunshine today and the weather did not disappoint. It was a beautiful, if slightly chilly, morning as 213 5k-ers and 49 volunteers got together for this weekend's parkrun...

It’s a grey day now, but look at that forecast for 9am tomorrow: a glimmer of cheerful sunshine ☀️
What better way to enjoy that sunshine than parkrun? 🚶 🏃🏻‍♀️
We can’t wait and we look forward to seeing lots of you too 👋
Briefings start at 8.50am and don’t forget your barcode for a finish time 🕰️

It was great to see 12 people doing their very first parkrun today - in some rather swampy conditions! 200 parkrunners in total completed our 5k course, and the event was made possible by 44 wonderful volunteers. #parkrun

All set for parkrunday tomorrow? The friendly, fun way to put your New Year fitness and volunteering resolutions into practice! Do be prepared for a spot of character-building gloopy mud after Thursday's rain.

First timers briefing is at 0850 near the cafe.

Happy Tuesday and happy us! We have a nice, full looking roster this week, so thank you to everyone who has stepped up to volunteer.
If you’d like to help out, we would still welcome more marshals though, so don’t feel you’ve missed your opportunity - simply email royaltunbridgewells@parkrun.com

We all pretend we don't like the Hippo Dip, but the photographic evidence presented here tells a different story.
Look at all those smiles and determined splashes, it's okay, we know you all love this parkrun seasonal water feature really.

Happy new year to Royal Tunbridge Wells parkrun!
We may have been a little late about saying it in person, but wasn't it great to be back in our home park for a regular Saturday morning?
January 10, 2026 at 1:46 PM
Good news, it’s not as rainy as we thought it might be. See you all soon for parkrun.
It may be a little rainy in the morning, but we’re still looking forward to finally starting our parkrunning year!
See you in Dunorlan for briefings from 8.50am - all are welcome, and there’s no need to run. Walking, jogging or volunteering are all great ways to join in!

Looking ahead, we've two things to share with you:
1. We're keeping a careful eye on the weather. At the moment Storm Goretti doesn't look doesn't look like she can stop us - that's the benefit of having a park in a dip - but that doesn't stop us from doing course checks to be sure.

This week we’ve got Mark back at the helm as RD, and he has a special request:
Please will a few more people volunteer?
Mark specifically needs at least three more marshals to cheer people on during parkrun, and at least three more people to volunteer for close down after they’ve completed their 5k.

Bring a friend or make a friend this Saturday!
This weekend, 10 January, we’re celebrating Bring A Friend to parkrun. So invite a friend along or hello to a new friend at parkrun - lots of new connections are made thanks to a simple hello or well done on the course or in the finish funnel.
January 6, 2026 at 8:34 AM
Due to compacted snow and ice on the course we’ve had to take the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s parkrun (on 3 January 2026).
Stay warm and safe out there and do check before travelling to an alternative event - the weather means there have been lots of cancellations in the area.

It’s bright and sunny and snowy out, which means we’re monitoring conditions in the park for tomorrow. We always aim to go ahead if possible, and the current sunshine is reassuring, but we will be checking the course late this afternoon and early tomorrow morning…

Did you know there’s an extra parkrun again this week? Not here, but lots of other venues are looking forward to welcoming people to a New Year’s Day parkrun at 9am.

We're a little late in sharing this, but who knows what day or date it is anyway so we're sure you'll forgive us. Here's the Christmas Day parkrun report from tourist Lucy, and we have to say, she gets 10/10 for composition: www.parkrun.org.uk/royaltunbrid...

Well done to all today's 231 parkrunners (including a giant sausage dog!) and thank you to our 42 wonderful volunteers. Together, we rounded off 2025 in style.

Reminder - we are not holding a New Year's Day event, so we'll be back up and running (jogging, walking and volunteering) next Saturday.

Huge course attendance record this morning! Well done everyone 🥳🎉. @rtwparkrun.bsky.social #parkrun #loveparkrun
Who‘s joining us for @rtwparkrun.bsky.social on Christmas Day!?
Will we break our course attendance record (486 set in August at event 500) or failing that our Christmas Day record (427 last year)?
Are we going to have 500 finishers for the first time?
#parkrun #loveparkrun #christmasday
Psst… did you know we’re holding an extra special parkrun on Christmas Day morning?
All are welcome to walk, jog or run our 5k course. We’re a welcoming event and we’d love to see you in Dunorlan Park at 8.50am on Thursday.
