"O Say Can You See"

The MK84 bomb, commonly referred to as a 2000 lb bomb, is designed to penetrate over 15 inches of metal or eleven feet of concrete bunker. They leave craters of up to 50 ft in diameter and cause lethal fragmentation in a 400 ft radius. We drop them on families.

Emptiness like letting go of familiar hurt
Emptiness like the freedom of being unmoored
Emptiness like what's next

Reclaiming this Moc today while I try to figure out what shows to do for the rest of the year, if any. "Growing Apart.". Here it is on the first of this year as the setting sun hit it at just the right angle:

I wrote an open letter to my fellow book ppl because no one is coming to save us.

We have to save us.

And I am weary of waiting for my colleagues to join the fight. Any fight. I chose book bans, but you don't have to

Really looking forward to a fresh wave of discourse around the Last of Us part 2. I'm sure it'll be respectful and intelligent this time around, A+ can't wait

So I've been trying to crack this cape scale pattern for about two years, and now thanks to these round snot pieces from the PAB wall I might finally be closing in on it 🤔

I have officially been banned from Brick Rodeo. No warning, no discussion, just an email informing me of their decision. I have a lot more to say about it but for now I'm just going to sit with the shock. And I guess I'll have to remove this from my con history:

Messing around with this lightsaber design. I based it on Lop's from Star Wars Visions, and while I want to finish her full design someday done will have to be better than perfect for now:

On this international media literacy day, I want to treat you all to a (very early, I'm waiting on so many parts orders) preview of my next (actual, not a joke) outfit: Ball gown + Zweihander. Hoping to have this ready by mid May for Brickcon Alabama 🤞

Been seeing a disturbing (ie non-zero) amount of AI art lately so just to clarify I have and will never use AI at any stage of my process. Instant block whenever I come across it, that's all thanks ✌️

Playing around with this transparent red baseplate from Bricks and Minifigures, and also trying not to stress out my phone's autofocus. There's something to the way yellows and oranges become invisible (or near enough?). What do we think?

14,000 riot police or 60% of the available force are being dispatched in anticipation of Yoon’s impeachment ruling by the Constitutional Court. The people have been awaiting a verdict and protesting daily in the longest impeachment proceedings in Korean history.

I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.

This is a work in progress, but the essential components are pretty much where I want them to be. A new world built on the bones of the old.
