With my drive to Wellington for no reason whatsoever, I managed to pop into a fabric shop & picked up some pretty pink fleece for an early Christmas present for someone special.

So guess who drove 2.5 hours to Wellington for an eye specialist appointment after arranging to care for husband & stay overnight at a friends, only to find that it’s actually next month.

Busy couple of days ahead.
Have x-rays & orthopaedic surgeon appointment tomorrow morning. Then have to drive down to Wellington in the afternoon so I can see the eye specialist on Wednesday morning, then drive home in the afternoon.
Have to set up care & food for Murray & groceries tomorrow as well

Excitedly but apprehensively looking forward to Saturday. We are going to Palmy to meet up with family we haven’t seen (in person) for 6 years. Granddaughter is competing & family are coming down to support. We used to be so close but Murray’s disability has shrunk our world & they’ve been busy

Have heard that govt likely to cut eligibility for Total Mobility - an essential lifeline for many disabled people who cannot drive or access public transportation. Please sign this petition to parliament calling for Increased funding for Total Mobility Scheme
Petitions are addressed to the House of Representatives and ask that the House do something about a policy or law, or put right a local or private concern.

Went from nothing to do this week to having something on every day. Got called into the museum to help with October dress of the month display. Have coffee catchups with a former fashion student friend & other friends, usual Amdram work plus a zillion costumes to make.
