Very necessary tide change for Julian Phillips, who drained two 3-pointers in the first quarter of this one.
Phillips has struggled mightily (1-for-7) in his limited minutes. Hitting those shots is one of his only ways to get a foothold in the rotation.

@dlocke09.bsky.social So I'm listening to the T Wolves TV broadcast, and they are commenting with a "bone to pick" that the Wolves only have 4 credited shots at the rim (this is late 3rd qtr). So, yeah, the Jazz tend to be very conservative when it comes to what counts as rim shots.

BYU just needs to keep that Texas Tech game close...the committee has been awarding teams for close loses. They have to get back and at least make it a game.

Knowing how these games go, BYU will go conservative, Utah will get some tailors. The defense will tie it, and it’s a toss up in a wild overtime. Just feels like I’ve seen this before.

Seems that Ace Bailey has joined Lauri in the “if there is anything aching at all, rest!” Category as far as how the Jazz will approach injuries. Keep your star players healthy and ensure the pick. Also, it’s not tanking when you give a very scientific name to the reason why someone is not playing.

Pass locations of the passes that have set up catch-and-shoot threes this season with the 'passed-from' zones colored by how often the threes went in. Passes from red zones lead to higher percentage threes.
