I feel the Jazz just don't stop ball and the ball-handler for the other team gets a running start on a defender that is already just above the paint, and they get a foul + and 1 opportunity. Happened to Ace, twice.

I know one of the big stories this year is Key's improvement, and numbers do back that up. I still wonder, though, if he is still going to be someone who turns the ball over too much as a PG and doesn't shoot well enough to be a SG. He can finish i the lane and get to the FT line, so that helps.

The Walt/Collier dynamic interests me. They both have different strengths, and I feel that, at some choice, the Jazz are going to have to make a tough decision to go with either one or the other. Personally, I just think Walt's shooting is too valuable late in games.

Also, I still am in a little disbelief that Danny didn't sniff this out when the Mavs/Lakers asked them to help facilitate the deal. I actually wonder if that's part of the reason Austin Ainge is now oversees basketball decisions (while keeping Danny around in a more advisory role).

Gobert still is the great death to the other team's shooting percentage. Still so impactful...especially against Nurkic.

Nurk was actually really nice as a back-up big with the 2nd unit. Kessler being out is now all of sudden too much Nurkic. Maybe try Lauri at C?

And I still look forward to him coming in because I'm just tired of seeing Nurk blow lay-ups.

Yeah. Svi gets beat by B poker and Ace has to foul. Anderson has lost his a a couple times. Really, Ace has been good defensively tonight. That’s what is going to get him on the floor more.

He is someone who is perfect for a game like this. Just brings a ton of energy and, yeah, best perimeter defender on the team.

Can we get some of those for “Sounds of the Sidelines?”

Not hard to see the Jazz at 5-5 at the ten game mark and around 9-10 in the seeding. That’s if they maintain there defense from the 1st two games.

Those two field goods would have had the Utes winning and covering the spread.

They went conservative and it didn’t matter because they have a Bear playing QB.
