I’m not much of a drinker myself, but I do miss the days when you would meet up in a bar with a bunch of your buddies: Big Mike, Shifty Pete, One Eyed Dick, Melodious Vic, to toss back a few brewskis.

I eat meat, but we’re going to have to reduce our consumption of animal protein if we want to keep the planet from burning to a crisp. Not to mention the significant ethical and moral issues related to eating meat, fish, and dairy.

Child labor is appalling and too common in the agricultural/food industry. Don’t blame the parents: these families live in a constant state of precarity and they’re just trying to get by. Instead we need to order our society so that children can be in classrooms and playgrounds, not fields.

I have brownies in the oven while I work. You, too, can make brownies from a mix in about 5 minutes (not that much longer from scratch, if you plan ahead and have the ingredients). Add white chocolate chips and/or walnuts to take it to the next level. (There are sugar-free mixes btw!)
