Impressive! The REAL Hugh Grant wants to follow little old me! I imagine he’s inspired by the teaching/ pitting/ broken eye stuff that I post here occasionally!
Yeah right!

Mmmmmm detached retina surgery gives you a charming (and pretty blinking painful) eyeball bruise.
Sorry if this gives you ‘the ick’.

The last week has been a little miserable, painful & blurry. Retinal detachment surgery isn’t great. Lovely colleagues have dropped a ‘cheer up’ parcel round inc a perfect piece of art from @SDupp, Black Eye gin,a Cornish hamper, local history document &eye patches @mrjuliandicks

#scleralbuckle #retinaldetachment surgery +3days. Not feeling marvellous tbh and vision is not really there. Fun fun fun but glad for good surgeons

Detached retina is boring now. Still a fortnight till surgery and permanent headache over left eye is annoying!

Where can I apply for funding to regenerate our little school library?

3 mini and 3 normal bottles and a mixing bowl ready for the kiln.

Box of Delights finished. Seeing as we read Sea Fever by Mansfield last week, I think it’s only right to introduce my class to this classic!

This term, my Y5 and 6 class have been doing a great felting project. They used local South Downs fleece, washed it, dyed it with natural dye made from local plants, carded it, wet felled it and today they’ve needle felted some acorns and toadstools. My school is ace!

As in the other place, been meaning to get a copy for ages!
I’ve got 6 copies of Code Name Kingfisher to give away to one lucky winner.

Simply repost this and make sure you’re following me. I’ll choose one lucky winner at random on Sunday 1st of December.

We had an ungraded inspection in June for which we retained our ‘Good’ grade.I’ve been teaching 20 years. I’m a good teacher (I think!) The creeping dread of the proposed new inspection system is already panicking me.When will the powers that be in OFSTED realise that they’re still getting it wrong?

Time to start over I guess. 🙂 Hi, I'm Darrell. I make stuff, mainly out of things you'd normally throw away. I work with children and young people, lots of them. I make 3D artwork, mainly in schools . . . and I make sculptures myself, share them online, and hopefully inspire others to have a go. 👍
