These Tigers ... they are so incredibly generous. They get a runner to second base and every batter that comes up subsequently points to the guy behind him and says, "I'm okay. YOU be the hero." This is some kind of team... Yup...

It's time to start gearing up for Tuesday's night's Pub Quiz at Sidecar Slider Bar in Sterling Heights. The fun starts at 8 p.m. Here's your weekly Social Media Clue. I'm sure there's lots of interest in this one. Just be careful not to overextend yourselves!

My jaw hit the floor this morning when I saw a FRONT PAGE obituary for Marilyn Hagerty in the NY Times. She was the food writer at the Grand Forks (N.D.) Herald. But when I worked there she covered the "people" beat. In a state of fewer than 800,000 people, I'll bet she knew every last one of them!

If you're in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Saturday, come down to the Pleasant Peninsula Mural Festival to see Max Coleman's Kirtland's Warbler. Max's mural is just one of several that is being installed on Pearl Street underneath the US-131 overpass. All the murals are of endangered species.
