I see a lot of people complaining about Canadian weather. People...winter just is. You might as well get angry at the sky for rain or thunder. Generally speaking we did not come to this country for the climate.

For all those Americans who are taking a hard look at Canada as an alternative to the US. Canada is neither the utopia that you seem to think it is, nor is it the dystopian hellscape that some in this country portray it to be. It is a country filled with decent people that is facing some challenges

He served in the RCN from 1943 to 1945 aboard the corvette HMCS Calgary. He lost his youth, his innocence, and perhaps part of his soul to the North Atlantic convoys. His name was Able Seaman Kenneth Hill, but to me he was just Grandpa. Lest we forget.
