Absolutely right. And we have never had a Donald Trump. In 1776 you rebelled against the crown and replaced the King with what...another king? If you lookst countries that use the Westminster system they tend to have very stable democratic governments.

So this is what I don't understand about your system. Here in the Commonwealth the leader of the second largest party in the legislature automatically becomes the "Leader of His Majesty's Loyal Opposition" and starts the job of opposing. Is it not the same for you?

Seems to be the MAGA playbook. Convince people to vote against their own self interest. That being said, Americans have been cutting off their noses to spite their faces for decades. The people who most need public health care and education are most inclined to vote against it.

I think that there is an entire group of conservative commentators who need to give serious consideration as to where their loyalties lie. Just because you aren't happy with they way the country has been run for the last five years does not mean that you are justified in advocating the end of Canada

Canadians need to steel themselves for what is to come. I'm sure Trump will go out of his way to make life difficult for us. Stay calm, polite, and try to embrace Peace Order and a Good Government. That will be our salvation in difficult times.
