The biggest political divide on here is not between left and liberal but between "politics is real and involves real outcomes for real people" and "no it doesn't fuck you"

Oh yeah, the judiciary as a whole is basically over this shit with the exception of a few crazies.
BREAKING: The Trump administraiton has committed a mass violation of ICE detainees' constitutional rights in MN, effectively blocking their acess to attorneys in the Whipple building, a judge ruled tonight.

The judge: Trump appointeee Nancy Brasel

JUST FREAKING GRADUATE AND LEAVE ALREADY, EVERY QUARTERBACK
BREAKING: Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss gets another year of eligibility, after an injunction ruling by a state court in Mississippi.

Comes after the NCAA denied a waiver three times. Judge said the NCAA acted in bad faith in denying a 2022 tonsil issue with 2025 documentation.

I see no reason not to look at the online gambling and prediction market craze as a new opioids crisis.

It will wreak havoc on lower-income Americans and leave a trail of destruction and despair in its wake.

The companies are just Purdue Pharma 2.0

Pretty incredible that both the SU men and women won multiple-OT games against Cal in the same season despite awful free throw shooting and a complete inability to stop Cal's best player.

Now I am absolutely crushed at the idea of five more minutes
My happiness at SU getting the stop there is very tempered the looming spectre of having to watch five more minutes of this team.

God this game. Whyyyyyy

Sure seems like in close games the other team always figures out "just give the ball to whoever Starling is guarding."

I've never enjoyed watching a team I root for less than 2025-26 SU men's basketball.

Just so poorly coached. Boring on offense. Constantly breaking down on defense. 10+ just inexcusable turnovers per game.

Basically Thune is going to hold this vote, knowing it's like 52-48 at best. Then he's going to wait for Trump to get distracted by something else and hope this goes away.
Majority Ldr Thune says Senate GOP is having a "robust" discussion about SAVE Act and path forward.

He promises a vote.

"How we get to that vote remains to be seen."

Thune adds: "There aren’t anywhere close to the votes — not even close — to nuking the filibuster." www.nbcnews.com/politics/con...
House passes SAVE America Act, sending Trump-backed election bill to the Senate
The legislation would overhaul federal election laws in all 50 states by imposing new voter ID and proof-of-citizenship requirements. But it faces a daunting path in the Senate.

Shit, she should be the NATIONAL coach of the year.

This is an *impossible* job. No money. Tiny fan base. Awkward situation in the Dome. Shit weather. Very little history of success.

It's almost certainly a bottom 5-10 job in P4. And they're 19-5 (9-4) right now.

The fact that her reaction is almost certainly opportunistic makes this more, not less, significant.
GOP Sen Lummis says she’s changed her mind after the new Epstein revelations today: “Initially my reaction to all this was, I don’t care. I don’t see what the big deal is. But now I see what the big deal is. The members of Congress who were pushing this were not wrong!”

The Pats are going like 7-10 next year.
Devon Witherspoon revealed in a radio interview that Mike Macdonald identified from film study that the Patriots offensive linemen were effectively tipping their pitches with their stances.

Put that in the pantheon of Super Bowl coaching contributions.

As someone who actually grew up in the sticks in a trailer, I really can not articulate how much Kid Rock's fake "straight out the trailer" persona annoys me. That motherfucker grew up in a mansion.
Kid Rock's dad owned multiple car dealerships and he grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. Bad Bunny went from bagging groceries and recording his songs in his room to winning multiple Grammys. Which one is the better encapsulation of hard work and the American Dream?

The 2025 Pats were just the 2024 Commanders all over again.

And hopefully the 2026 Pats will be the 2025 Commanders.

in conclusion, statehood for dc and pr
Puerto Rico hasn't had reliable power in a decade.

The grid sends occasional surges through the wires that fry appliances.

Electricity rates are among the highest in the entire U.S.

Heat waves are getting intense in the summer, and outages mean A/C is no guarantee for an aging population.

Matt Stafford put up 27 points, 374 yards, and 3 TDs on this defense in their own stadium two weeks ago.
I mean in 7 quarters of championship football Maye has gone 18-39 for 146 yards and people think he's the MVP ...

Can't believe I'm saying this, but kudos to Jason Garrett.

Only pundit I saw all week with the guts to pick this game as a Seahawks blowout. Which seemed like the obvious result to me.

One important thing I did, after watching the halftime show, was show my daughters Bad Bunny's entrance to his match with Damian Priest, so they would know he is a legend in multiple games
