As expected, Canada has lost its measles-free status because of the long-running outbreak there. With it goes the #measles elimination status of the entire zone of the Americas, the only division of the #WHO to ever have achieved measles elimination. www.statnews.com/2025/11/10/m...

How is the O-Train still SO TERRIBLE. Where are the adults? How can people be such negligent public stewards? Had to wait 15 mins for line 2. Got to Bayview and had to wait 7 mins for a train coming in 2 mins. Not to mention how insanely expensive it is. At this point you may as well just walk.

1. This past #flu season was a really hard one, especially on kids. 12 more pediatric flu deaths were reported to #CDC last week, bringing the total for the year so far to 216. That's the highest single season total for a non-pandemic year since CDC started collecting pediatric flu death data.

For those watching the news from yesterday, "a prior" is an input in a Bayesian model of previously known info to narrow the possible outputs to those that are more likely, vs a frequentist approach where all outcomes are possible in an analysis as it's not informed by any previous studies.
