1. I don't think anybody argues that... INFANTICIDE... should be irrelevant in college admissions.
2. Conflating SEXUAL ASSAULT with "hit on" is the problem.
3. People who won't use proper capitalization in their emails are telling you they're selfish and lazy.

When interviewing people for jobs at the public library, we often ask them about a favorite book, or one that means a lot to them.

Answering with the name of a book from the assigned reading list, or a wildly-off-base interpretation of a well-known text, is at least a yellow flag.

just found out that if you listen to his whole spiel at his capitol office, press 4 to speak to someone, listen to his other spiel, and THEN press some other button, you can leave him a voicemail there. better than fucking nothing I guess
it's so evil that Schumer's office won't even let you leave a voicemail while they're "closed" over the weekend, meanwhile it looks like he's about to fuck us all over for the 472685th time this year

Target executives getting ready to blame the retail workers for not smiling enough instead of blaming themselves for not honoring their own DEI commitments.
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more

Hear me out, maybe libraries ... don't need AI for anything? This is a solution in search of a problem.
Aside from my "was this really written in 2025, not two years ago" snarky response, I couldn't help thinking throughout this entire blog post that a huge part of why so many libraries are STUCK on dealing with AI is because we literally don't have the staff time or funding to deal with it.
Do Academic Libraries Have a Strategy for AI? 📚
"...while two-thirds of libraries are exploring AI features in vendor products, only about half are offering guidance to their communities on how to use AI responsibly in academic work."
