US customers: contrary to what you might have heard, art and books from the UK are still TARIFF-FREE! Plus, all import duties are pre-paid by me, so you WON’T have to pay any extra!
It’s proving hard to get this message out there, so if you could please repost this. 🙏

Bollocks to it, tired of giving so much money to Amazon for books and my Kindle battery is very poor now. Going to try a little colour Kobo.

Can we have our country back please. I’ve been banging on about this since the riots but no one seems to care about community staff.
Oh look. There really are "no go areas" in England.
And they're marked by St George's flags

Ok so Swortdheart by @tkingfisher.com has come out in the UK today. It’s £9.99 on Kindle 😱. Anyone know if the author gets more money if I pay that much? Back to contemplating an alternative eReader (£7.99 on Kobo) - my hands don’t like physical books much and I don’t want to read on a iPad screen.

We're going to be pulling AI shrapnel out of the weakly twitching carcass of the British state for decades aren't we?

Made it to course 3 of 4 in the AI for healthcare specialisation before losing the will to live. It was basically just a list of algorithms and their supposed applications which we can do perfectly well already e.g. predict length of stay, allocate resources, interpret scans, diagnose disease. 1/2

Gary Lineker?

Stepped up a notch with the #AI in healthcare course and I’m now well reminded about the different types of regression. But it’s still not AI guys.
And I’m thinking, if they insist on tying healthcare algorithms in with AI they’re going to just make everyone think they’re as useless as chatGPT.

Day 5 of my #AI in healthcare course. I have taken to screaming “that’s not fucking AI, we’ve been able to do that for at least 30 years!!!!” at my iPad. My husband has taking to waving a gin bottle at me…..

Please someone save me, for I did not know what I did when I enrolled on AI systems for healthcare. For now I have completed the first module, and comes “the data to decision path for infusion of AI in healthcare”. I don’t think my soul can take anymore 😱.

My GP surgery is advertising for a medical receptionist on minimum wage. No NHS terms and conditions, no pension. FFS - it’s a tough, skilled job and should be a band 4 with NHS pension. Guessing they still get people.

Here’s a proper Halloween Horror - I’m reduced to doing a course on AI in Healthcare because I realised I need to know more about it, so I can explain effectively using the correct jargon why it’s not the bloody messiah.

Looking at the 1930s bus at the motor museum and thinking it’s not that different from the older ones when I was a kid. And then also it’s basically a horse drawn tram with an engine at the front.
