In hearts truth I declare
What most I fear
To find beyond deaths veil
Not legendary hells of ice and fire
But a face too merciful
For my own devil peopled soul to bear

Inside Job
I knew a robber
Who during Lent
Would give himself up.

I took my mouse to the vets as it was losing weight
I said Tell me is it the end?
He said No but it’s a narrow squeak

Kincora

You who were seen
and not heard,
by the grown up ones.
You who were touched,
but not loved,
by the grown up ones.
You who were innocent
but remain unacquitted,
by the grown up ones.
You who are ghosts
haunted day and night
by the grown up ones.

With the death of James Watson it is good moment perhaps to be reminded that brilliant minds don't necessarily stop men from being stupid and wrong headed about some things

I have been asked to find a possible publisher for the memoir of a survivor from a private care provider. His experience is both horrendous and in the end inspirational any thoughts could you message me

A Bad Night

The now-ghoul
glint of
lost eyes
summons up
Blind janus
In the odd motel
Of my head
shade slaver,
Unresting fatal spring,
A choke of snowdrops
Under a winding sheet of winter.

Tender Plants

There is a residue
In every human heart
Of all the people
That they have loved
And that have cared for them
For we are like a rose
Which blooms
When it draws up that love
As water through a stem.

Pope Leo is not mincing words about the “grave crimes” being committed against migrants in certain places.

It’s no wonder the Vatican took a full week to publish this speech in English.

But now they have, and we can spread the message.

November Nocturne

The night is wild
And whispery with
Indiscretions.
The moon,
Next door
But one,
Looks down
Lune-lided
While the darks folds
Cake-like in upon itself.
