I don't think I've EVER had that strong of a 𝖎 𝖜𝖎𝖑𝖑 𝖕𝖗𝖔𝖙𝖊𝖈𝖙 𝖞𝖔𝖚 reaction over a main character. Even if she looks damn cool there -- at that point I just wanted to wrap her up in cotton batting

Reading comments about the early-game R1999 tutorials and blinking a lot. I had no idea they were so hated!
They're little puzzles to teach you the ropes, and yeah they're harder than normal fighting (which you can often brute-force)

I was digging around on merui.net trying to find the story transcripts to check something, and this is really neat: uttu.merui.net/profiles/
They have it rigged up just like the in-game profiles, where when you click on links in the attacks, it shows more info in a floating window.

Almost all artists are powered by pure, unadulterated spite from years of people telling us 'you're doing that wrong, you're never gonna succeed' so the fastest way to make sure an artist will never use something is to tell us 'there's no other way'

Most Artists I know aren't like that. From day one. They are built different. They are resistant to conformity. You're not going to tell them what to do or say.
