Had a fantastic weekend in East Anglia seeing 2 NEW (to me) @nationaltrust.org.uk sites... But the highlight was definitely this mushroom circle that we found at Ickworth!! (And their amazing pumpkin!)

The great thing about having a MiL that can't cook is that no matter what I make, even if I know it's over cooked or the texture is wrong, the husband will enjoy it. Because he obviously had much worse growing up 🤣

After coming back from sick leave after surgery and finding out I didn't make the cut in the company restructure, I spent a grueling 6 weeks putting together my appeal and awaiting my outcome. Today I found out not only that I won my appeal, but I did so on 2/3 challenges (over 4 categories).

If someone says they need to end the conversation and go to sleep, why isn't the correct response "Ok, Goodnight"?
Because I've just been told I'm "wonderfully direct" and the correct answer is "small talk"?
But they don't want to teach me because they love that I'm direct and they'll lose that?
