Samurai Gunn 2 devs vanishing for 3 years to rewrite their entire game from scratch, returning with new art, new UI, new mechanics, reworked online + rollback netcode, and removing adventure mode to use those assets in multiplayer, refining the game’s core? Hell of a return 🙏

Our next big project is live! @lewisgordon.bsky.social spent the past few months tracking down nine people who worked on DICE's innovative 2008 parkour runner.

First time watching through LOTR and obviously now I have a crush on Gimli. The things I would do to that dwarf would be recorded in song and passed down for generations

Really enjoyed the Destiny 2 Renegades expansion! Final mission gave me Halo 3 flashbacks. Excited to see what they’re cooking up with Marathon

Keep thinking about this term "pre-digested" that Kojima used to describe art that's instantly gratifying. And how it's better when people grow to love something instead.

I've gravitated, as player and designer, toward the latter, but that term "pre-digested" is new and feels very strong.

I remember hearing this song years ago on Twitter while Angeline Era was in dev bc it reminded me of Ellinia from MapleStory. When I heard it for the first time in game, I instantly teared up. And the fields in the background are so very Illinois. A magical moment 🥲

What’s everyone’s fave game this year? Doesn’t have to be a 2025 release, just anything you played this year that you really enjoyed!

Mine is Caves of Qud. Came back to it to try the 1.0 release and could not stop playing. One of those games that sticks with you for a long time.

I do think Romanian house needs to make a comeback. Mr. Saxobeat remixes still pop up on Soundcloud regularly. Stereo Love still occupies the collective conscience. The influence is everywhere. We yearn for the Popcorn era

Right there, plain as day. Research access to games can coexist with playing them for fun!
