Something that can turn a modular synth into a whole new beast is expressive control. The Expert Sleepers FH-2 can turn loads of different USB inputs into CV and gate signals, including game controllers!!

2025 has been a year full of high notes. From joining Sucker Punch Productions, to releasing my first book as a co-author, to dipping my toes into sound design for theater the first time. I'm incredibly thankful for all the trust and support that has been coming my way and can't wait for 2026.
2025 in Review
As the year comes to a close and with winter break just around the corner, I'm taking some time to reflect on what has been a year full of new experiences, adventures, and just a lot of lucky circumstances. When I decided to abandon my quest to establish a musical career and pursue sound design for games in late 2022, I could not have foreseen where I would be just three years later.

Over the years, I made a lot of tracks, jams, beats, and musical experiments that I'm still very fond of but that have sat unreleased. I figured it was time to put them all on one big ol' beat tape.

Cue ANTHØLOGY, a 70-track odyssey through music I made between ages 17 and 30, now on Bandcamp!

It's been a while now since I've been actively pursuing music, a journey over 20 years with many ups and downs. In fact, in the years before realizing I wanted to pursue game audio, I spent a lot of time making beats and instrumental tracks somewhere between hip hop, electronica, and heavily Gorillaz-slanted alternative pop (or something like that). About three weeks ago, I wrapped up my first ever theater project! I was fortunate enough to contribute sound design and music to the stage premiere of "Ada", written by Aeneas Sagar Hemphill, produced by a team of professional designers and brought to life onstage by Babson student cast and crew.

About three weeks ago, I wrapped up my first ever project involving sound design for a stage performance. The play Ada by playwright Aeneas Sagar Hemphill was produced with The Empty Space Theater at BabsonArts under the direction of Naomi Hopkins, with professional designers working on light, sound, stage, costumes, and props - and a student cast and crew bringing it to life onstage.

I'm super excited that I was able to share a little story from my field recording trip to Zimbabwe in 2023 on this year's edition of Tonebenders' Field Recording Stories! The trip was an important lesson in giving up control and always being prepared for when recording opportunities arise.
