In the PoMo museum in Trondheim, Norway, there is a statue of Saint Virgin Mary painted in a bright, electric yellow. It’s standing in front of a door that is condemned by a fine rigid metallic mesh painted white. The darkness is pouring in. The phosphoric yellow statue, stoically standing, hands clad in a preyed, illuminates the surroundings. Behind the statue, the wall is panelled with white-painted wooden planks. It gives is a home-feel. General feeling: hope and love illuminate the darkness, make you feel at home, wherever you are. They are the home.

At the PoMo museum in Trondheim, Norway, there is this room painted in carmine. Narrow, longiligne windows are translucent and let in some pale white light. On the varnished parquet of light colour-probably pine one, there are two large concrete balls side by side, touching lightly. They could evoke cannon balls, only they are oversized. Their surface is rough, scratches on the touch. What is particularly beautiful is the contrast of the smooth walls, smooth parquet planks, the velvety looking concentric shadows under these large spheres, overlapping much more than the actual contact. The play of the rich red on the walls evokes blood, life, passion. Everything gets born in blood. General feeling: passion, explosion, collision, life.

On the seashore, a paved ground. There’s a foldable metallic table and chairs. Empty. The shadow is very long. There’s a statue, all dark, of a tall thin figure on a pedestal. We can’t see the details, because the picture is taken against the light. The sky above is mainly blue. General feeling: warmth, expectation. Yet there’s not a living soul in sight.
