I saw this stone lying on a beach in South Africa. It’s extraordinary. Firstly, it has straight edges, and Nature doesn’t really do straight lines. But look at the green “Xmas tree” in the middle of it!
Surely this is the work of human hands….or is it?

As I flew over the Sahara I saw lots of lines, river beds, cracked earth, ripples in sand, but all the from Amsterdam to Capetown I couldn’t see a single border.
These imaginary lines drawn around “states” or “territories” bring us so much conflict and grief.
We don’t need to divide ourselves so.
