Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

So true Emma, thanks for sharing this moment of awe
A starling murmuration at Tubney Fen (& my reaction). Only filmed on my phone so not brilliant quality, but experiencing awe, even from a video on a screen, has been shown to improve mental health 🪶:

The British mainstream media is busy trying to oust Starmer, again, and yet they seem not at all interested in a much bigger and more serious Epstein story involving Farage, Putin, and Brexit.

Fortunately, @bylinetimes.bsky.social is.

It's rare to see how lobbyists operate. But the Epstein-Mandelson correspondence shows us what happens all the time: plutocrats and government ministers conspiring against the public interest. This is why all lobbying should be in the public domain, but despite Labour and Con promises, it's not. 🧵

I saw this stone lying on a beach in South Africa. It’s extraordinary. Firstly, it has straight edges, and Nature doesn’t really do straight lines. But look at the green “Xmas tree” in the middle of it!
Surely this is the work of human hands….or is it?
I left it lying there by the way #Stunday
