Just a guy, standing in front of a social media app, asking it not to be a hellsite.
Has the right-wing and other Elon fans started their normalization of Grok’s CSAM started yet?

“Yeah, she’s only 14, but it only showed her in a bikini. It’s not like she was nude.”
Elon Musk has proudly built an AI that can be exploited for what is basically child pornography.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk is calling for the execution of his political opponents.

And people are… ok with this?

If a president kept posting “I aced my sobriety test again!”, you would *think* that maybe at least one major news outlet would start asking “Why does the president keep boasting that he’s sober?” But crickets.
What does it mean when your doctors keep insisting you redo the cognitive exam

Hey. Remember the Epstein Files? You know, the ones that the government was legally required to fully release without redactions (except for the victims' info) exactly two weeks ago today?

Whatever happened with that? And why aren't the media and Democrats screaming about it at every opportunity?

Our annual family New Year’s Eve tradition since NYE 2020: lighting the previous year on fire to send it to Hell.

I am not sorry to see 2025 gone, even if I think 2026 is shaping up to be potentially worse.

Land of Confusion by Genesis. Great song and the video is great for making fun of Reagan.

And I suspect this right here is the reason we are going to see all sorts of crazy (and possibly illegal) attempts to further restrict voting and/or push more gerrymandering before November. If Dems get all of Congress, the jig is up.
"While Dems are likely to retake the House, they’ll need everything to go right to win both chambers. But if it happens, a year from now we’ll be talking about Trump's full lame-duckification & what it means for 2028. That’s a nice note on which to end a year in which hope was in such short supply."

Looking at some important countdowns for next year:

* 30 days until another possible government shutdown
* 36 days until the New START treaty expires
* 185 days until July 4th 250th celebrations
* 307 days until the midterm elections

"Your best course of action is to die quickly and decrease the surplus population."
Dr. Oz on the "super flu": "Every year there's a flu vaccine. It doesn't always work very well. That's why it's been controversial of late. But like many illnesses, the best news out there is if you can take care of yourself so that when you do end up running into the flu, you can overwhelm it."

"Unlike my good friend and fellow Republican Rick Scott. He is such a master at exploiting system, he got a $1.7 billion fine for it."
Sen. Ron Johnson: "Remember -- Somalis have only been here a few years. They are literally amateurs in terms of exploiting our vast welfare system."

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden or Alice in Chains.

Apparently the US declared war on Venezuela last week? I know it was the holidays and all, but hard to believe that wasn't bigger news. Unless, you know, Trump didn't follow the law or Constitution...
CNN broadcast audio of Trump obliviously announcing land strikes on Venezuela during an obscure radio interview last Friday

The family went to see #AvatarFireAndAsh today and I have to admit that the Internet was right: it had no impact to my culture.

I enjoyed the movie and it had spectacular visual effects. But it didn’t impact my personal culture.

I guess that means James Cameron is a hack or overrated or something?

Evidence of the death of both our climate and humanity: it’s December 27th in Wisconsin and one of our neighbors is using a glass-powered leaf blower to clean up their backyard at 8am on a Saturday morning.

Maybe it is just best if humanity just passes on…

Apparently the new hotness is hating on the Avatar movies because they didn’t make any significant “cultural impact”?

Are the Avatar movies great storytelling? Not really. Are they amazing works of visual effects and filmmaking? Yes.

People are allowed to enjoy things that aren’t timeless epics.

It is perfectly logical if your end goal is to convince Americans (at least those few cult members you pander to) that you should ally with Russia instead of those woke NATO cucks.
JD VANCE THINKS BRITAIN & FRANCE ARE AMERICAS LIKELY ENEMIES.
The world is getting bizarrely screwed with this kind of bull being spewed out.

As soon as Trump has a big enough debilitating health issue (physical or mental) to stop him from performing the duties of President, the amount of rats in the GOP fleeing that sinking ship will be like a tsunami. Full of “I was always against Trump and his <illegal and unpopular act>” lies.

And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, where the shadows lie, One Tim to rule them all, One Tim to find them, One Tim to bring them all, and in the darkness, bind them.

Jesus Fucking Christ, Kaine is an absolute traitor to democracy and his spineless and cowardly centrism is a significant reason this country is where it’s at.
WELKER: Massie and Khanna say they are looking at options including impeachment and contempt for DOJ officials. Would you support those steps?

KAINE: I think that's premature
December 21, 2025 at 3:48 PM
Huh. Guess they couldn’t Sharpie over all the references to Trump in time.
surprise, surprise. DOJ will release docs over a rolling production over a few weeks -- violation of terms of Epstein law but who's to stop them. Big point is timing -- remember first spin of Mueller Report by Bill Barr? What comes out first will be big influence on public perception.

LORI CHAVEZ-DeREMER: Just wait six months and these numbers are going to look *amazingly great*. Lolz.
VARNEY: The latest jobs report showed unemployment hitting 4 year high. You must be disappointed. Do you trust the numbers?

LORI CHAVEZ-DeREMER: When I look at the numbers, I think we saw a solid report

V: Interesting diplomatic move, to say a 4 year high for unemployment is actually good news

The reason Dem leadership (and its consultant class) aren’t releasing it is because it probably shows that voters hated their crazed push to the right to court “moderate” Republicans and desperately wanted the party to embrace progressive policies and candidates (and also younger ones).
BREAKING: The Democratic National Committee will NOT release its long-awaited autopsy on Trump's 2024 win. The report is completed but Dem leaders decided it could distract from their winning streak, so it will remain secret. Not good.

In some ways, Bari Weiss is the perfect leader of a legacy media network. She perfectly demonstrates just how amazingly out of touch legacy media is as they keep trying to cram content and opinions that no one wants down people’s throats.
Reading about this idea and as somebody who thinks it is not a bad instinct from an ethical perspective, it still reveals how much the choice of Bari Weiss to run CBS was a bizarre politically motivated choice, rather than one based on optimizing ratings. Americans don't want to watch this stuff.
